2003 and 2004 Home Projects
2004: Our home project was the replacement of two retaining walls in our rear yard. The old walls - built by the previous owner about 20 years ago - were constructed from wood and had extensive dry rot. We had both walls replaced - about 400 lineal feet - with stone. We also added a tree well to protect the large, 100 year old cedar tree near the rear of our property. We had the roof cleaned and treated. We also cleaned the deck, mailbox trellis and all flower boxes and treated them with a preservative/stain.
2003: We had our old, rotted deck at the back of our house replaced with a brand-new, 1,100 square-foot cedar one. The deck was redesigned to be more functional and usable. It looks great and we're using it much more than the old one. It goes well with our new cedar-shake roof which was installed in 2002. We had new landscaping put around the deck, including a large feather boulder surrounded by river rock.
2002: New 5,700 sq.ft. cedar shake roof replaced the original.
